Every season, the Festivals of the Tourist (or Festes del Turista, as they are also called) become that special moment when a destination pays tribute to those who choose to visit it. It is a celebration of gratitude, coexistence and culture, where locals and travelers share streets, flavors and experiences. In the case of Mallorca, these festivities represent the symbolic closing of the high season, making way for the quieter months, yet always with the festive energy that characterizes the island.
This year, in Cala Millor and Son Servera, it was experienced with particular intensity. Outdoor concerts, shows for children, guided routes, local product markets and sports activities were part of an unforgettable week. And as a grand finale, on September 28, the closing was celebrated with an emotional fireworks display by the sea.
Each year this celebration reaffirms the bond between the destination and those who choose it as refuge, adventure or rest.
Turistapa 2025: a resounding success of flavor, show and the best atmosphere
Last Saturday the 27th, within the week’s program, one of the most anticipated events was unquestionably the Turistapa. This gastronomic encounter has established itself as one of the most beloved by both locals and tourists: a route of creative tapas, crafted by hotels, restaurants and local associations, turning gastronomy into a true social experience.
But this year, Hipotels left a special mark. Our culinary team presented an exquisite selection of tapas that captured the island’s flavors with a contemporary twist. Some of the offerings that surprised the audience most were:
· Lechona stuffed with apricot chutney and fried mushrooms, a fusion of Mallorcan tradition with sweet and umami touches.
· Brioche of Iberian cheek with foie, which was a favorite for its silky texture and deep flavor.
· Fried squid with sobrasada, raisins and pine nuts, a combination that surprised with its balance between sea, mountain and sweetness.
· Pork belly at low temperature with truffle mayonnaise, juicy, intense and absolutely addictive.
The ambiance at our stand was a celebration in itself: every bite was an invitation to discover local flavors, surprising fusions, classic tapas reinterpreted… It was an opportunity not only to showcase our culinary expertise, but to share it with those who visit us.
A show to remember: Improvisus
The highlight of the evening came when, at 8:30 pm, our Hipotels animation team took the stage with the Improvisus show. It was a vibrant, spontaneous, fresh performance: an explosive, emotional mix that surprised and delighted the audience.
The team performed improvised scenes, fusing styles and imprinting each number with a personal touch. There were energetic dances, acrobatics, flamenco choreography, comedic moments and more intimate passages of song. It was, without a doubt, a show that managed to channel the spirit of the festival: spontaneity, emotion and connection with those present.
Each act was prepared with dedication by our animation team, who shine not only in the hotels, but also in events like this, where they display their talent and passion.
The audience’s response was immediate: applause, laughter, participation. Many said they did not expect such a versatile and intense proposal, and those instants captured the magic of sharing under the Mallorcan sky.
A week that reminds us why we love what we do
Festivals like the Festivals of the Tourist and Turistapa do more than enrich the local calendar—they bring us back to the essence of our vocation: to welcome, surprise and move. During this week, we saw gastronomy, art and community become bridges that connect us with people from all over the world. It was a celebration in which every detail reminded us that the true journey begins when someone feels like home. And at Hipotels, that will always be our greatest purpose.
